    Hi there,

What popular SMS platforms are used in India?

The screen resolution has got smaller recently but due to the layout of information on a single page, there is a minimum requirement.  This is an area which is always being improved on and there are plans to update the GUI to allow smaller handheld devices to work with CRS.

Hi there, please can you confirm this issue is resolved by selecting the defaults from settings?

I am currently making some minor updates and will be testing it shortly.  Timed with a new shop opening means some CRS development has slowed down in the last two weeks whilst I am fitting out the shop and getting it ready for opening.

Not forgotten though…  this feature is a welcome one for my shops so looking forward to rolling it out in my shops to test before sending a beta to you.

For your “Immediately Priority Service” inventory item – have you included Tax when you edit the product?  You can specify tax rates in the product which will be shown in the charges.

Is this in the inventory->parts.  If so, this feature is not live yet – are you using the CRS beta?

The asset details tab is used for your reference – the info you put is also incorporated into the Service report so for example if you add RAM / OS and a customer calls for an upgrade you can quickly see what they have?  I’d admit, in my own shop we largely do not use this – only is we create a new custom build and wanted to add the spec / warranty expiry date etc.

(There will be an announcement soon for a brand new tool which largely replaces the Asset Details tab but will allow you to install a small client.exe file on every machine you bring in for repair and monitor your customers machine remotely – all the asset details will be visible through this tool and maybe there will be a link into CRS also to auto-populate Asset details….  stay tuned for this!)

Here’s a quick preview of what the customer see’s on their computer:

I have probably bitten off more than I can chew as the more I work on this feature, the more complicated it gets!  I am working on stock deduction and custom pricing at the moment.  Don’t have an ETA but looking to have a beta soon for initial tests.

Ok, I have tested this out and seems to be working for different default accounts:

Do you have Payment accounts set up in Kashflow and also selected the default one from Settings?

I am currently working on this. No timescales just yet (but I plan a beta to be ready in the next few weeks though).

My workaround (and the way have always done this in my own shops) is I use the Parts tab to create a custom build. Add each part in i.e. CPU, MB, RAM etc. There is also a quick Add to Invoice button which adds margin automatically I use a lot (although I appreciate you just want to list the parts, no prices). I simply then add a charge (editable inventory part) called “Custom Build PC” to the invoice charges.

I also log the serial numbers in the parts tab for all parts I provide customer for fast lookup in case of warranty.

Do you mean internal messaging to each staff member that uses CRS? At the moment CRS does not collect staff users mobile numbers so manually entering this is the only option – this feature was designed for ad-hoc messages for customers that you didn’t book in the repair (i.e. I use it in my own shops if a customer comes in asking for something we don’t stock and I need to check with suppliers etc then quickly send an SMS back to confirm).

I will add a custom product to the new features list. I already have a requirement for Build Of Materials i.e. create a single product from multiple products in inventory. If you have any examples of how you think this feature could work let me know…

    Hi Steve,

You can set the warranty date to any date you specify from Asset tab in the ticket. There are presets for 30/90/180 days, 1 Year, 2 Years and 3 years. You can also set the purchase date, delivered date and installed date if applicable.
