Since the last major release, we have been working on implementing better scaling for CRS which now works better with all screen sizes and resolutions.    For example, 4K monitors would be automatically scaled to 150% which would affect how the CRS interface would look and CRS was difficult to use.

We have spent the last 12 months going through CRS, re-scaling and testing the GUI so that it displays much better on both lower resolution screens and high-resolution screens such as 4K monitors which was a big task and hope we have resolved almost all scaling issues.

Note:  CRS was originally developed way back in the Windows XP and Windows Vista days long before 4K monitors and scaling existed and this was a major refresh of how the CRS interface responds.  We are still tweaking and updating the GUI and getting feedback from you is really important and helps a lot.  If you spot any user interface issues please let us know with a screenshot so we can make the fix asap for you.

We have delayed our planned features due to the COVID-Pandemic and re-focused during this time on maintenance and GUI updates.  Below are some of the main changes:

    Requested Features

    • Custom Email Statuses and Custom Email Status Templates.  You can now create custom email templates for any new email status you create instead of using the statuses that are built into CRS.
    • Ticket Locking improvements. Specifically, if the same user on the same machine locks the ticket, they won’t get asked to unlock it when they re-open it again on the same machine.

    Updates

    • Added back the tabs on the main screen which were left out in the last version
    • GUI updates across almost every CRS dialog.
    • Parts – Set Parts On Order status from right-click the mouse.
    • Parts – Open part purchase Url with right-click
    • Assigned Tickets ask for a reason it’s being assigned. ##ASSIGNEDREASON## tag added and email template updated to show this
    • Latest CRS now requires the latest .Net Framework 4.7.2 which provides better handling for scaled displays.  Especially useful when using high resolution (4k) monitors and Windows 10 automatically up-sales to 150%.  Updates to all CRS windows to make use of scaling.  Please report any GUI issues to us with screenshots so we can fix anything we may have missed.
    • Windows 7 or earlier OS’s are no longer supported since updating to the latest .Net Framework.
    • CTRL+K opens the onscreen keyboard Internal notes were reworked to make it easier to differentiate between public and private notes
    • 80 tickets show on the main status screen (from 40)
    • POS bug fixed for US users not showing the correct qty
    • Import Customers – Fixed issue that would not import duplicated customer names during import.
    • Lots of minor updates and maintenance.
