KeymasterIMPORTANT – PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE UPDATING CRS TO THIS VERSION TO AVOID DOWNTIME.
Note 1: CRS licensing has changed. If you subscribe to CRS on a monthly or annual plan please request a license key BEFORE installing the new version (to ensure no downtime). The license key has replaced the older license file to improve our service and make your licensing more efficient to downgrade/upgrade licenses and number of users.
Note 2: CRS setup installer has been changed. Setup installer now uses a single .exe which is much better than unzipping a zip folder. This will make updating CRS much quicker (no need to uninstall from Control Panel every time). ANY VERSIONS OF CRS V2.12.xx OR EARLIER, PLEASE UNINSTALL CRS FROM CONTROL PANEL FIRST TO REMOVE THE OLD SETUP FILES BEFORE INSTALLING THE LATEST VERSION.
New Features
- Tote Box Transfers – Find this in the Tools menu. This is perfect for transferring customers computers or products between shops or locations. This is a quick way to log any items leaving your premises where you want to ensure what leaves is also received.
- Tickets can be assigned to a staff member and the member of staff will be emailed about the ticket assigned to them. Your assigned tickets are shown in the list on main home screen when you log in. New template added which can be edited to include your own information (ticket notes, asset etc).
- User Management – You can now specify a timesheets for each user (via Admin->User Management) where you can specify Start/End times. This is then checked when clocking in/clocking out and if a user is clocking in late, or clocking out too early asks for a reason.
- User Management – Days off & Days Remaining can be specified in the user management which optionally can be shown when the user is clocking in so they can see how much time off they have left.
Improvements and Fixes
- Customer Auto-Complete added to make finding existing customers faster – you can now enter any part of a customers name, company name or address which is shown as you type.
- Canned messages from Ticket Notes now checks for ##TICKETIDNUM## and ##DATEADD_YEAR## Tags for which can be used for example to automatically display expiry date of AV products you sell to customers. Helps with reminding customers when their renewal dates are.
- Fixed Job tab display bug (container was not filling up the tab but truncating the controls on smaller screen resolutions).
- POS Till ALWAYS opens at end of any POS transaction. Added correct OpenDrawer commands to the Open Draw icon.
- Fixed POS Open Drawer bug when no thermal receipt printer connected.
- Check added for .Net 4.6.1 on start up.
- Warning about the minimum screen resolution added on startup (CRS will still function).
- When saving a new ticket, you are prompted to re-open ticket for customer or create a new ticket for the same customer.
- Fixed issue when only an Invoice Email address specified and the customer email not specified and the invoice would not send.
- Auto Complete Computer Make and Model improved.
- End of Day Reports / Z-Reports shows what was sold via POS (each line of the POS display is listed). Makes searching transactions much easier.
- Default Days used to show calculated repair time average time.
- Re-Send Status now sends to both SMS and Email.
- Staff Note when booking in a new ticket can now be edited (in settings-Ticket tab). Perfect to remind staff about upselling / questions to ask during booking in a new repair.
- Type of Serial Number (Job tab) can now be specified i.e. Serial Number, IMEI, Dell Service Tag etc. This is editable in settings and a default can be changed.
- Manage Tickets – Can now search by Invoice ID, Payment Amount and Payment Date to make finding tickets much easier.
- Cancelling print labels still printed a label fixed.
- Cleaned Up User Management so all user functions (add user, delete user) is done via this area (before there was a separate menu for adding users which wasn’t intuitive!).
- Livedrive Management (via Tools menu) now shows last payment made, subscription type (monthly, annually etc) and you can also suspend account from this area (account deletion has been deliberately left to be removed via the reseller website).
